Mark 6:31
31 And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a little while.”

 Rest, reflection, reconciliation, reconnection, prayer.
Just as Jesus needed rest, as often spoke of in the Gospels, so do we.
As life has us pouring ourselves out, there is a need to spend time in rest and prayer, to refill.  Prayer alone with our Father or spent in community, helps us to reflect on and reconcile with our past, reconnect and put us on track for our future.

Il Ritiro Franciscan Retreat Center offers just that - personal space and time or community.  Please see our "Bookings" tab. There you will find when Il Ritiro has openings to plan your retreat.

St. Francis regularly retreated to hermitages, demonstrating a commitment to periods of solitude and prayer. His life was characterized by a deep love for God and his neighbor, and his retreats were likely a way of nurturing that love and living the Gospel more fully.
